Basic QR helps you design a QR code that looks like your brand and scans reliably, without accounts, watermarks or expiring links.
What Basic QR does
Basic QR is a browser-based design studio for QR codes. You choose what to encode (a website link, Wi-Fi details, a contact card, an email, a phone or WhatsApp number, or plain text), style it with your own colors, shapes, logo and frame, check that it decodes, and download it as a 4K PNG, a scalable SVG or a print-ready A4 PDF.
How we think about it
- Static codes. What you type is encoded directly into the QR code. There is no redirect service in the middle, so your codes do not expire and cannot be switched off.
- Private by design. Your QR content is generated in your browser. We do not upload the links, passwords or contact details you enter.
- Free to use. Standard PNG downloads are free. High-resolution exports (4K PNG, SVG, PDF) unlock after a short sponsor break, which helps cover the cost of running the site.
- Honest checks. The live scan check shows a real decode test and a contrast rating. It helps, but you should always test a final print with a real phone.
